Injury Update

The Atlas Mountains will have to wait for another year…

This is just a quick update for anyone following my blog and charity challenge. Having sustained a suspected stress fracture in my left foot, I have been confined to an unsightly plastic boot for the last few weeks. I have iced it, stretched and rested (well to a certain extend…toddlers aren’t particularly known for their understanding of post race injuries!) but it is really taking its time to heal. Sadly I have had to pull out of the last two races I had scheduled for this year: the Ultra Trail Atlas Toubkal in Morocco and the Trionium Greensands Marathon. This means that I have 91 miles left to make up my 600 charity miles. For those of you who have sponsored me….I will get this done! It will be a little delayed and it may mean that I do some or all of the remaining miles on my bike, but the 91 miles will be completed. I will keep the blog updated with my plans and recovery and in meantime I am slowly starting to plan my running assault for next year 🙂
